About The Staga Network

The Staga Network is a collection of online communities based around individual neighborhoods that provides members a chance to give away their old (or new) belongings to other members of their neighborhood for free.

The idea is to help people clean out the clutter in their homes, while helping someone who may be able to use your old things.

Reduce Trash

According to the EPA, in 2006, Americans generated about 251 million tons of trash and recycled 82 million tons of materials, which is 32.5 percent. We recycled 1.5 pounds of our individual waste generation rate of 4.6 pounds per person per day.

If everyone helps just a little bit, we can collectively reduce the amount of trash in our landfills significantly. The Staga Network helps make it easy for everyone to give their old, but still useful, belongings to someone else who can still use them.

Reduce our dependancy on non-renewable energy

The EPA states that recycling 82 million tons of MSW saved the energy equivalent of more than 10 billion gallons of gasoline in 2006.

Even the process of recycling uses energy. Imagine how much more energy we could have saved if people didn't put their things in the trash at all, and instead, reused them.

Help save the environment

We can all help save the environment by reducing trash and reducing energy consumption (amongst other things, of course) and The Staga Network makes it easy to do.

We encourage you to register today for a free account and begin reducing your own trash.
